What is TCF Canada?
The TCF Canada (Test de connaissance du français pour le Canada) is a French proficiency exam recognised by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for Express Entry, permanent residence, and citizenship. It tests four skills — reading, listening, writing, and speaking — and each skill converts to a CLB / NCLC level. Strong French results can add up to 50 extra CRS points to an Express Entry profile, which is why most candidates aim for CLB 7 or higher in all four skills.
